Difference Between Rigger Level 01, 02 and 03

  • Rigger Level 01 (Beginner): Covers the basics of rigging — introduction to rigging, equipment, hardware, load identification, and safety. Best for people with no prior rigging experience. Pass mark: 70%.
  • Rigger Level 02 (Intermediate): Builds on Level 01 — advanced rigging techniques, planning of complex lifts, equipment inspection/maintenance, and incident reporting. Best for riggers who already know the basics and want to handle bigger, more complex jobs. Pass mark: 70%.
  • Rigger Level 03 (Advanced): The highest level — hazardous/high-risk rigging, overhead crane and hoisting systems, rigging project management, and leadership. Best for senior riggers, supervisors, and engineers. Pass mark: 75% (the highest of the three).
